Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect with strong expertise in GCP to design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. The role involves defining architecture standards, supporting cloud modernisation initiatives, conducting PoCs, and guiding technical teams in cloud, DevSecOps, CI/CD, security, and observability best practices.

What will you do?

• Design and validate cloud architectures that support business objectives, including integration, security, performance, and cost-efficiency strategies.
• Promote standards, component reuse, governance, and automation across deployment processes.
• Support modernisation and digital transformation projects, proofs of concept, and the adoption of new technologies such as AI and cloud-native solutions.
• Conduct PoCs to test and validate new technology solutions.
• Influence and guide technical teams in implementing best practices related to cloud, security, DevOps, CI/CD, and observability.

What are we looking for?

• More than 5 years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on microservices, APIs, integrations, and distributed solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of GCP, including the following key components: Cloud DNS, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Cloud Pub/Sub, Artifact Registry, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud IAM, and Secret Manager.
• Ability to design, assess, and manage cloud architectures, including landing zones, reusable components, deployment, and governance.
• Ability to translate requirements into modular, secure, and scalable solutions, with a focus on microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to lead the definition of technical guidelines, architecture standards, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), promoting standardisation and component reuse.
• Ability to assess use cases and make Go/No-Go-to-Cloud decisions, considering dependencies, security, costs, and risks.
• Additional knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps.
• Knowledge of integrating emerging AI technologies, particularly Generative AI.
• Strong involvement in security and observability, as well as mentoring technical teams.Experience with Azure and regulated environments focused on governance and security.
• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect and Associate Cloud Engineer.
• Practical knowledge of orchestration and deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps.
• Fluent in Portuguese
• Hybrid working model in Lisbon.
