Overview:
The IT Business Analyst will manage the complete lifecycle of a requirement, from initial specification to final delivery for the end user. The Business Analyst will work mainly in an Agile environment, driving iterations, managing backlogs, and ensuring that software meets both technical and business standards through rigorous testing.
This Business Analyst will work on a project focused on the evolution of third-party data ecosystems, aiming to streamline the integration of new data and technologies such as data virtualization, APIs, etc., enhancing the accessibility and real-time availability of data across systems.
The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring business needs are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into clear functional requirements. The role involves gathering information from multiple sources, facilitating workshops to align stakeholders, and understanding and writing business processes, requirements, and design phasing.
Furthermore, the Business Analyst will work closely with developers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Additionally, the role plays a key part in testing activities. This includes defining the test strategy, preparing complex test scenarios for Integration System Testing (IST) to ensure data flows correctly between providers and outputs, and coordinating both Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Using tools like ALM Octane and Jira, the Business Analyst will manage defect tracking and assist end users throughout the validation process to ensure a successful deployment and adoption of the solution.
What will you do?
- Requirements Gathering & Management: Manage workshops and interviews to elicit, analyze and document detailed Business Requirements. Translate high-level needs into clear functional/technical specifications (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Process Maps) while managing and prioritizing the product backlog against the MVP.
- Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze current ("As-Is") business processes to design efficient future-state ("To-Be") workflows. Identify bottlenecks, gaps and opportunities for automation or digital transformation to improve time-to-market and operational efficiency.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge between business units and IT/Development teams. Manage stakeholder expectations regarding project scope and timelines, and present complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Own the testing lifecycle, including defining test strategies, writing complex IST (Integration) scenarios for data flows/APIs, and performing regression testing. Manage the full defect lifecycle and ensure requirements are successfully validated by end-users.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Perform deep analysis of data ecosystems to investigate quality issues, identify root causes of inconsistencies, and utilize data-driven insights to validate business assumptions and measure the success of implemented solutions.
What are we looking for?
- Requirements & Process Modeling: Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements using User Stories, Use Cases, and Business Rules. Expert in process modeling (eg.: BPMN, UML) to visualize workflows and identify system impact/gaps.
- Agile Product Management: Advanced expertise in Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint management, and strict prioritization of features to ensure the delivery of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Testing & Quality Engineering: Deep knowledge of the testing lifecycle, specifically in designing complex Integration System Testing (IST) for APIs/interfaces and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experienced in defect management and ensuring full traceability from requirement to test case.
- Systems & Data Integration Analysis: Strong understanding of application architecture, system interfaces, data flows, and integration patterns (e.g., APIs, Data Virtualization). Ability to analyze data quality and ensure consistency across multiple REFERENTIALS data sources.
- Software & Tooling Mastery: Proficiency in ALM Octane (for requirement-to-test traceability and defect management), Jira (for task/backlog tracking), and Confluence (for documentation and collaboration).
