Overview:

The leading bank in the European Union and a leading international player is seeking an Application Production Support responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance and operational continuity of critical business applications within the Global Banking IT environment. The role combines both technical and functional support responsibilities, ensuring the smooth execution of application processes, releases, workflows and business operations. The consultant will work closely with business users, development teams and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents, improve service quality, automate operational tasks and optimize the overall user experience through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do?

• Provide technical and functional support to business users and application stakeholders
• Ensure application availability, stability and performance across production environments
• Monitor and supervise technical and functional components of applications
• Manage and coordinate application releases, deployments and production changes
• Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting and service restoration activities
• Analyze application workflows, batch executions, transfers and business processes to ensure smooth operations
• Improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation of recurring tasks
• Understand root causes of incidents and contribute to permanent corrective solutions
• Maintain operational procedures and enrich application documentation repositories
• Support technical integration activities leveraging existing products and services
• Manage functional change requests and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives
• Share knowledge, mentor team members and contribute to team documentation and training activities
• Participate in weekend, holiday and on-call support activities according to team rotation schedules

What are we looking for?

• More than 11 years of experience in Production Support and Infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise in Application Production Support within enterprise environments
• Oracle SQL knowledge is mandatory
• UNIX expertise is highly required
• Experience with ITIL processes and operational governance is highly valued
• Availability to work on weekends, public holidays and support rotations when required
• Strong focus on operational excellence, automation, service quality and continuous improvement
• Experience with Oracle Database and Oracle SQL
• Experience with UNIX Operating Systems
• Experience with Windows and Linux Environments
• Experience with Scripting and Automation Development
• Experience with Ansible and DevOps Tools
• Experience with Network Infrastructure Knowledge
• Experience with Production Monitoring and Performance Analysis
• Experience with ITIL Methodology and Service Management Processes
• Experience with Application Release and Change Management
• Experience with Technical and Functional Production Support
• Experience with Batch Processing and Application Workflow Monitoring
• Fluent in English
