Overview:

The leading bank in the European Union and a leading international player is seeking an Application Production Support responsible for ensuring the continuity, stability and performance of the client’s production applications. Acting as a key interface between Business, Development and Infrastructure teams, the consultant will provide technical and functional support, manage incidents, requests and changes, monitor production environments and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives. The role is part of Application Management and supports digital transformation initiatives through the adoption of modern technologies, Automation, Monitoring, DevOps and ITIL best practices.

What will you do?

• Act as the first point of contact for IT Production related activities, providing support to end-users, Business Analysts and Development teams
• Manage incidents, service requests, problems and changes using ITSM tools while ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs
• Restore services rapidly through effective incident analysis, troubleshooting and escalation management
• Monitor and supervise application and infrastructure layers to ensure production stability and availability
• Implement preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring incidents
• Prepare, validate and support application releases and production deployments
• Perform pre-production testing and ensure production readiness of new releases
• Maintain and update technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge repositories
• Collaborate with Development teams on migrations, re-hosting activities, infrastructure changes and application releases
• Support application monitoring, automation and operational excellence initiatives
• Manage communication with internal stakeholders and provide timely updates regarding incidents and production activities
• Participate in on-call support activities when required 
  

What are we looking for?

• Between 6 and 10 years of experience in Application Production Support and IT Operations environments
• Experience supporting critical banking and financial services applications
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly valued
• Strong experience in production monitoring, incident management and release management processes
• Experience working with cloud-based and hybrid infrastructures
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments
• Strong focus on service quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Availability to participate in on-call support and production activities when required
